Default Need to get my speedometer off my 06 fxdci handlebars, ideas?

I'm trying to mount a Hogtunes on my Memphis batwing fairing but the speedometer on the handlebars is in the way. I screwed up and forgot about the speedometers location!
They want a 25% restocking fee for the Hogtunes, so I'm not going to give up!

I don't see any options other than moving the speedometer so maybe a tank mounted speedometer is the best option.

Anyone know which tank with a speedometer mounted on it would fit my 06 superglide custom?

Would any 06 and above tank work? Anybody do this before?

Thanks for the help!

It'll be a Wide Glide or Lowrider Tank and the later Superglides have a speedo in the tank too.

What if you rotated your handlebar risers around and flipped your speedometer bracket upside down so that the speedometer mounted behind the bars?

It would interfere with the tank I think. He'd probably need much higher risers and a flat bar and a different mount. Drag specialties had a single gauge bracket for t-bars, or the HD sportster style cup and some clamps maybe...

I forgot to add, the DS cup doesn't have a spot for the idiot lights, which is a challenge... I messed around with this on my old superglide for a while.

Maybe look at the new breakout gauge bracket?

It probably would need taller risers to work. If they were to tall, they might get in the way of the thing he is trying to make room for.

I did this to my sportster (left side of forks):

I got a 3" (or whatever size the speedo is) roll cage gauge mount from summit.com. For the sportster I didn't have to cut or splice anything, the wires were long enough to relocate there. You just have to find something to do with the indicator lights. I double sided taped them to the back side of the risers.

There is a good looking speedo bracket on this bike.

You could do a google imagine search for "Harley Speedometer bracket" or "Harley Speedometer Relocate" and get some good ideas.
