Default T-bars Question

Hey guys fairly new here and I know there are many forums on it but a lot of mixed answers so just want to know.

I am looking to put a pair of west coast T-bars on my 2014 switchback im thinking 12inch or 10inch im 6ft and leaning towards the 12's...I just want to know if the stock cables will work I have heard about half say they will and half wont. Also want to know everything I would need if they wont fit ...sorry I'm fairly new to to this thanks.

Depends on your bike. I had a '11 Street Bob. 10" MX bars work with stock cables.

2016 Lowrider S, won't work with stock cables/lines.

12's are a no-go with either.

As someone who put 12" mx-t's on my 11 bob with cable, wires, and brake line to spare, I respectfully disagree. Not sure if it's a case by case basis though.

SB is much different than the LR or LR-S. 10 inches is about as tall as you can get with the stock cables and bars.

@squishy - I understand. Maybe I mistook what he said, but the way it was written seems that 12's won't work on a DB or DL. Either way, all good

You are right, I went back and re-read it.

I put Burly 12" Jail T-Bars on mine, then went with 1 inch risers, and being 6 ft, fits me perfectly, and I used all the stock cables.
