Default 2015 sportstter fork lowers onto Dyna?

Can someone please tell me definitively if 2015 sportster fork lowers will bolt directly on to my 2009 fxd super glide without modification?

49mm tubes on the 09. sportys outside of the roadster (2016+), xr, and 48 are 39mm. even those outliers are smaller than 49mm.

what are you going for? color, a repair... there may be other ways to get what you are after.

I'm doing my seals this weekend and was going to have the lowers powder coated for $100. There is a set of sporty lowers on CL for $50. If it was a direct swap then it would have been a no brainer. Thanks for the insight!

powder is a good call and should only take a shop a few hours to do.

Only if they have no work load.

I would say best case for a turn around on these would be a min. of 1 day.

There is also masking of of areas that you do not want powder coat on and clean up afterwards.

Anyone get their fork lowers (sliders) anodized? Just wondering how it would last, durability wise.
Hard cote anodize?

The only way to get consistent color with anodizing is to use billet material.
Cast material is a shot in the dark.
