Fork tube question
I just had shaved lowers put on my bike, 41mm wide glide and they said my tubes were for non bushing lowers(was dual disc) and the new lowers were for bushings, so they machines the tubes to work with the shaved lowers. I want to sell my old set of dual disc lowers and need to know what they would be from? How many different 41mm tubes and options are there? I was told fxwd pre84. I'm asking so I know what to say these are and for future part ordering on my current forks.

The "bushing" on pre '85 are internal ..inside the lowers, the newer than '84 are actually bushings on the Fork tubes, and a bushing "insert" at the top of the Loweres just under the Seals. BTW the Tubes on a pre-'85, are pretty cylindrical all the length...the newer tubes have a Noticable relief cut for the bushings near the bottom, or more generally the bushing are evident on the tubes!!!
