I had everything powder coated gloss black at Sumax as they're local to me. I also accented it with polished 12 point SS hardware on the drivetrain.

It started out as a typical all black Street Bob engine, I picked up used chrome clutch, cam, and primary covers, as well as used chrome lower rocker boxes. I had the upper rocker box covers powdercoated wrinkle black. Like others have said, I like the black and chrome contrast.

Interesting use of the "every other cylinder/head fins"...don't see that much. Were you trying to somewhat match the theme (not the coloring)
on the Timer cover?

Thanks, no, just doing something different. I like the look of the highlighted fins, but find it to be too busy with all of them.

The Alloy Boltz grade 8 engine kit is a nice set of ARP fasteners for all the covers that avoids any confusion with the recommended reduced torque values of the cheaper kit suppliers. This is the way I plan to go. More homework needs to be done.

Black with machined fins is my pick

But brushed on black is pretty sweet too.
