I do not know enough to be able to choose a cam setup on my own I was hoping you guys could help me choose the cams. I am going to use the stock crank with the 95 inch Screamin Eagle cylinders and pistons and half my stock heads reworked I found some 509 C cams gear driven for pretty cheap from a buddy what kind of performance would I get from these are they worth using with my build when switching over to gear driven would I need a new oil pump or any other components other than the cams
I have a stock tc88 right now that I need to rebuild do to cam chain breaking and causing serious damage total rebuild
First you need to do some soul searching and be honest with yourself.
What kind of riding, specific to RPM ranges, do you like to do? Cams mostly move the power band up and down the rev range. Power off idle will restrict your top end and vice versa. Often times big cams with top range power will create idle issues. Low vacuum, unstable idle, vibrations at idle, etc.
You also often have to make compression and valvetrain changes to make the most of the chosen cams. This can seriously affect the total time and cost of the project.
What are your goals, really? Torque monster for effortless cruising, top end screamer for drag racing, all-rounder, smooth idle, choppy idle, etc...
I'm new to V-Twins so I can't help with specific selections but the concepts are the same for all conventional engines.

Check out the engine section of the forum. Lots of good info there. Who ever you chose to do head work can get you the cam you need for your riding style and that suits the head work
Gear driven cams not really necessary if your not making serious power. That's what I've been told. Nothing wrong with chain drive. Some guys use Woods or Andrews.
Fuelmoto is a good place to check, he's on here.
