Well, I purchased Andrews 37s, Kuryakn Wild Things 2Gs, S&S .570s....All of which are great cams, but I settled on the Head Quarters .575 Firestorm cams.

The HQ .575 cams are not bolt in cams, but they offer the broadest power range of the lot!

If you are interested in just bolt in cams with no head work, get the Andrews 37s or the HQ 0034 cams

If you want to add some compresion and head work, get the HQ .575s or the S&S .570s

The HQ cams start pulling hard at 2k to 2200 K and pull to 6K, the HQ cams are the most expencive, but the are the only cams that have a dual pattern design. thus the biggest power range!

Torque is where its at, bigger cams than the ones listed abovesacrifice that for HP. I like alot of both. I want maximum effort in the biggest possible range.IfI loose a little on thehigh end thats ok.and I think most riders would agree.

you need to match yer cams with the type of build you do. you can go to www.cripplecreekmc.com and there's a phone number you can call. they ain't open on Monday, or you can email him, He can answer yer questions on cams and what you want out of yer bike,.Also you need to know what rpm's you want yer cams to come in at and kick out at and what kind of riding yer going to be doing.
He just build my bike and one of my buddy's bike and I'm taking another buddy's bike to him within about a week. Ask for Dennis if you call.

I'd agree , you have to decide if you are staying with stock heads , what pistons/compression , what is your riding style etc. If you are staying with stock heads /comp the Andrews TW26G is a good bet , the 37's like a bit more compression.

The higher lift cams provide more power, but you can get quite a bit out of .510 lift . I managed 108hp/111lbs ft with heads and TW31g /V&H propipe and Mik 42

Want to say something about the 26 and 37 andrews cams. The 26 andrews cam comes in around 1500 rpm and goes out like 4400 rpm, the 37 andrews cam comes in around 2400 rpm and stays in till 6000 rpm. I can let you talk to my builder and he can verify everything about compression, cams, head work and BP motors. He's in Dothan,Alabama. He would be glad to talk with you on a build.

I am a pretty easy rider, I stay at the 2800 to 3200 RPM range. Just want to know which CAM is best for all around performance? I do not want any head work done, just a plain jane CAM job.

Next question is what is a plain jane CAM job, and how much will it cost?

hEH! HeH! Plain jane cam, yer sure going threw a lot of work and money to have just a plain jane cam. YOu got that in yer bike now.
You want to match a cam with the compression and where you want it to come in and out at, and if yer riding 1 up or 2 up and to how heavy yer bike is. I talked about all this with my builder. Mabe you should talk to him or somebody like him. What part of the country are you in.

These are the closest folks to you.
http://www.gmrperformance.com/Twin_C...e_Packages.htm

I like a Indy builder. I got 37 andrews cams in my bike. The reason, you can ride around and the bike runs normal and when you git on it around 2400 rpm the cams kick in and pull real hard.. I had my heads ported and polished. Had the jugs bored and Se cast pistons installed and the 37 andrews cams. I got a Thundermax with Auto Tune. Oh yea ! I got the D&D Fat CAt 2 into 1 pipes, easier to tune and had more power.
I was looking for performance and gas milage and a dependable build. My bike runs cooler and has more hp and gits the same or better fuel milage if I don't hammer it.
Sorry my builder is in Dothan, Alabama
I got 2 brother in laws in AZ. 1 in Phoenix and 1 in Tuson.
