Just want to let you know, when somebody works on yer bike git yer parts redone like heads Ported and polished, jugs bored and then buy new cams. Replace yer cam plate its the old style Andrews makes a new style that has a better chain tensioner.. Stay with chain drive cams. You can save money this way. If you do the cams go ahead while yer that far and do the heads and jugs too, you will be glad you did.
I almost went with the Andrews 37 cams then wound up putting the SE211 cams in mine. The chain and tensioners looked new at 15,000 miles, so I left them alone.
Mine is an 03 Wide Glide
Stage 1 with K&N filter
SE 211 cams
SE 6200RPM ignition
V&H Big Radius
Minor carb rejetting
85.50 max HP
93.23 max torque
More power and torque than I need . Runs great with plenty of extra power under your A$$
If you are in AZ , give Steve a call at GMR performance , he is an amazing resource. You'll see him on the forums as HDWrench. He helped me with my last build. He knows his stuff inside and out and sells Andrews among other cams, and Cometic gasket kits, Revolution cylinders, heads .. He's up in Prescott.
