Dyna colours
I went in looking for black. The dealer had a flame red pearl sitting there. I thought my truck was red, I needed something different. The dealer than made me an offer I could not refuse. Now the red is growing on me. I agree that the black with the black frame makes more sense, but.....live and learn. I have to admit, the sun hitting that flake is awesome. Check out that Dragon Fly Green in the sunlight. Changes colors as you move past it.
I went in as well looking for something different. I noticed the frame being black as well on some of the lighter colors. In the end I went with Black Pearl. Its close enough to the frame you dont notice and it comes to life in the sunlight.
I went in looking for vivid black, dealer offered me the black cherry pearl for the same price. I couldn't pass it up, looks black in some lighting conditions, maroon in the garage and dark cherry pearl in the sun.
I really liked the Black Cherry when I was shopping, but once I saw the Black Pearl in the showroom...I was stunned. The sun came out from behind a cloud and it took on a blue tint....then after I bought it and had it in my parents driveway surrounded by grass...olive green....it picks up difference colors all over and is ALWAYS the first thing people say about my bike.
Of course, I haven't made too many major mods yet....

Get what you want, and not what everyone else likes. You have to live with it. If you get black out of peer pressure, you will always regret not getting the color you want.
Me? I got Cobalt blue, just like the last 3 or 4 cars I bought. When I see them in the showroom, blue is always that color that screams, "buy me".

Wait, you mean to tell my Harleys come in colors other than Vivid Black? That's ridiculous! Seriously though, Black Cherry is about the furthest I could stray from good ol' Vivid Black...and there would have to be some financial incentive to do so.
I agree with the guys that want the frame and the tins the same color but I also wanted a bright color. What I ended up with is the two tone redfire pearl and black pearl. There is enough black pearl to make the frame and swingarm look right and enough of the redfire pearl to brighten up the bike and draw some attention.
