Default Dyna colours

went on a poker run with 49 other bikes today and heck it was fun, espcially when the bikes rumbled through some of the tunnels that connect our tiny place. we managed to do 100kms (60 miles in American) and had a pretty nice lunch. There were mostly HD's but also Yamaharlies and a couple of racers. Anyways got chatting with the other Dyna owners and a lot suggested to keep the cherry black instead of going to black and looking around i understood. people often say bikers are individuals but the see of black suggested otherwise. amde me think of going for a satin pearl blue like you get on drum kits. Lots of interesting sounds and gripes. Guys with old sporties that out growled the newer dynas and softails which had been "californiaised". anyways, it was a fun ride and I'll post a picture of us all lined up at the toll booth.

The Blue is the way to go. I get a ton of compliments on my bike, from cagers to other bikers alike.

I agree that Black is over done. No insult to the ones who do ride dark, I just chose to be different from most of the guys around here. [sm=smiley16.gif]

Mine's a 2000 FXDS, but that Hot Lava Red still gets a lot of compliments.

One of the factors involved that lead me to stay with vivid black was that the bike's frame always stays black no matter what color you purchase. I think the frame should match the rest of the paint. I wasn't about to pay big bucks for customization off the bat... so I went with the vivid black. Just personal preference; no insult meant to anyone.

same here bry, I was doing whatever it took to by a flat black bike. but when I saw the flat black beside the vivid black, it all came down to the frame color being a gloss black! the headlight being gloss black helped too. Someday ill strip it all down and paint it all lime green!! lol

Bry makes an excellent point here - the black bikes look a bit cleaner because the frame matches.

I have blue - wasn't quite sure of it the day I bought it - but it's grown on me since then - looks great in the sunlight - everyone loves it.
