My 08 superglide fxd will start, then immediately die. ...as in it starts strong, fires once or twice at most and goes off as if by a kill switch. What should I try?

Start with the easy stuff.
Check all battery and ground cables, make sure they are tight and clean.
Clean the IAC.
Maybe a pinhole in the internal fuel line in the tank.
Dirty fuel filter.
More info would help- miles, any mods, tuner, etc.?

 

change anything recently? Do youbget a red light, key, or CEL?

 

I had the same happen on my old wide glide, battery was dead, put new battery in and all was perfect, if you got a buddy with a good battery switch it over, and it will show battery problem if the bike fires up ok.
