I just finished the course and will recommened it to all riders. Not only do you get a lot of practice in non-traffic conditions but also you learn the proper techniques. The course I took was on a much smaller bike so now I feel that I have a license to practice on my own bike. Like oldgeezer said, "practice, practice, practice." A few years ago when I received my pilots license, my flight instructor told me that I now have a license to practice. The same advise is applicable in the world of motorcycling.
