55,000 miles on my Wide GLide, have Road Side Assistance, never has been used (knock on wood).......Only thing has gone in the shop for was replacing the chain driven cams to Gear driven.....did that at about 38,000 miles..

If you start hearing, and the only way I can describe it is marbles rolling around in your cam chest, have those tensioners looked at. Yep, I could have stayed stock and had them replaced, but I figured, why take the chance, went with Gear Driven cams, and never have to worry. Besides, when the RPM's start cranking, those gear driven cams start to sound like you have a turbo on your scoot.

Respects,
Ed

Okay - I had a 2003 1200 Sportster. Last year my starterfailed 3 miles from my house. I calledfor roadside assistance and they could not help me. I called HOG and waited for more than an hour beofre they called me back tosay that they could not find anyone to provide the service. There I am stuck on the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield, CT, which by the way is a very populated, well to do,area to live and they cannot not get any provider to come get me!!I had to make my own arrangements with a local non-Harley bike shop to come get the bike. Terrible service - not worth any price in my opinion.

I have a 07 SB that I picked up new on 4-24-07.
It has been serviced on its 1000 and 2500 mile service at the dealer.

Sunday 6-7AM after a short ride the engine light came on and stayed on
and the motor seemed like it was running on 1 cylinder?

Problem fixed and bike’s back on the road.
Somehow a fuel injector wire was compromised.

Having a dependable service department means everything to me.
I would be at a loss without them.

Never used my RA. Theres only 2600 miles on my 06 SB. and I better not have to use it. I'm gonna be pissed if I do.

I could set this up as a b**ch session...My streetbob must have been made by those illegal immigrants on saturday! It sucks being down and out without a ride on these sunny days, but alas, I have the lemon of the lot. Don't get me wrong, it looks, rides, and feels great and have no regrets about the purchase. OK, that may not be true. Once bitten, twice shy....But the dealership and Harley are being outstanding about getting all the issues resolved. The guys I ride with all have similar Dynas and have no probs..

2003 FXDL with 18000 miles. No problems what so ever, but I do have HOG RA just in case.

just want to let ya'll know things are just fine now with my dyna .. there's a reason for everything apparently and this one is embarrasingly simple .. the dealer diagnosed the clunking instantly as just a loose gas tank .. front bolt was loose .. duh, i should have checked that but was dodging thunderstorms when the clunking began .. still feel a bit like an idiot but with the history of broken motormounts , primary gear . etc etc. i figured the worse .. also the dealer downloaded a stage 1 map to get it to run a bit cooler so that the damn thing doesn't go into heat management mode so quickly and act like it wants to stall ...rpms drop to 500 when it hits a certain temp .. my 05 used to go into a lower idle by running on 1 cylinder instead but i guess that was changed and the new bikes don't have the so-called parade map... they sure are making these things run leaner and leaner every year!.. brace yerselves for water cooling fellas!.. anyway , the dealership i deal with has i think a pretty damn good service department and they really try to satisfy me especially with all the stupid issues i've had and it's not the first time i've been down the rocky road with harley ... still love the bike and now that the primary bearing was replaced and tank tightened, it runs smoother than it did when new.. my eyeballs don't even shake anymore.. it really did seem to vibrate just slightly more before that bearing was replaced.. now it seems like a keeper and i'll finally go ahead and install my chubby bars.. hope i didn't turn people off to the dynas .. just was looking to see if others had similar problems here ... ride safe
