So yes, I did use the search function, and my head is starting to spin with all the info. I'm looking for some opinions here.
70,000 miles 2007 Street Bob, with a Heritage front end. The thing has developed rear steer like mad. Right now, with that amount of mileage, I'm thinking about installing new motor mounts front and rear, and Tru Trak front and rear. I know I can experiment with various things and perhaps get away with less money, but I'm OK with just covering all the bases at once and getting it done.
Get the predator mount for the front.......and then make sure your power train is aligned properly.....
but
what you are describing could be more then just a bad engine mount....rear wheel bearings, swing arm bearings ever tires might cause what you are describing...

Thanks. I did some price checking after I started this thread, and decided to just go with a Predator in the front and a new stock mount in the back. (True Track and Sputhe were a bit more $ than I remembered)
As far as that other stuff, it's got new tires, wheel bearings, and neck bearings. The swingarm is worth tearing into I guess.

Thanks again
If you haven't ordered the Predator yet, I'll point out that I saved somewhere around $60 (IIRC) ordering it from the UK site rather than from the US distributor, even after shipping (which was rapid).

Also, be prepared for the 'clunk' that some people are getting with the Predator front mount. Not sure why it does that. Mine does... and I've chased about everything that can clunk... and the mount is the only thing left.

Ive heard the predator moves the engine forward compared to stock. It might help if you loosen the rear and do a full engine alignment
I just installed a predator mount on my '11 FXDB. All I can say is.... Wow! Major decrease in vibes. It was unrideable between 2200-2800 rpm before. And that was with a new stock mount. It isn't as smooth as a metric but it is as smooth as I would have ever asked for.
