Default Fat Bob vs Road King

In comparing specs to the current Road King the only real difference I can see is the RK weighs about 120+ pounds more...what other significant differences am I missing?
Do I need to ride behind a frame or fork mounted fairing in severe weather to experience the comfort difference? I've ridden all the FLH's, but not in pouring rain/cold
Just went thru a couple of days of real heavy rain showers on the road and thinking of long term comfort as I age with my bike; but don't like the FLH weights

Why not add a detachable screen/fairing to your Fat Bob

Its not a road king but my old BMR GS Adventure with fairing/Screen & panniers fitted would get tossed around by the wind much more than my fairing less/bagless FXDF

When I was shopping for my HD, I had test ridden a 2014 RK and FB (amongst some others). The FB felt like a lively, but the RK really surprised me with the handling. I took the same route on both bikes and when doing left/right transitions, the RK was easier and quicker. Wound up with a Switchback, but often the RK taunts me.

Further investigation shows the Fat Bob rake/trail to be 29 degrees/4.9 inches, while the current Road King is 26 degrees/6.7 inches...significant difference...
The FLH handling is definitely good for bikes of that size; I've taken a 120R Road Glide thru the Tail of the Dragon 2-up and was impressed; but not as "easy" as on a BMW R1200RT 2-up

They are both great bikes (I've owned both) and are arguably the best handling Harleys.

i like frame mounted fairing for all out comfort but i dont know of anything the rk can do that the fb cant....i have taken my street bob through some equal just plain horrible storms just as i have my fat bob and never struggled but the full fairing setup of the road king sure would have been nice. especially the lower fairings to keep your shins dry.
