On YouTube there's a site Dell Boys Garage He explains about burning used oil into bolts (the dirtier the oil the darker the bolt) I haven't tried it yet but it sounds good , I'm just curious about oil bleeding out over time and lock tite

id be a little worried about bolts backing out with lube and no loctite, you ever have issues with that?

Doesn't ARP make black coated bolts? I'd hit them up, either on their site or somewhere like summit racing or jegs.

im familiar with his channel, I’ll have to look into it. I’d be worried about them staying tight.

If you do it right, there's no oil to bleed out. Use old oil from a Diesel engine as it is loaded with carbon, which is what makes the part black. Don't over heat them or you'll change the temper of the part.

All those screws/bolts in the dash have gloss nail polish on them. You can’t tell the different between the powder coated dash pieces and the nail polish. Gets you a black bolt for about $3 instead of spending hundreds on ARP. This stuff holds up forever too (though I’m not riding in snow).

Black Oxide stainless steel hardware, won't come bike specific and you'll have to hunt up an online supplier like this place, or several others you just have to hunt a bit.

They are durable and look powder painted, I've used them before..
