I have an extra washer about the size of a 35 cent piece and small snap ring. Does the shifter shaft have a washer between trans and shifter attachment? Had parts in back of a car and not sure it came off bike...I also have a small snapring. Guessing shifter shaft idk. Although peering at it doesn't look like theres room. It doesn't belong on chain tensioner. ..took off inner primary and starter.

Pictures of the parts, type of bike would help...re-read your post and see if you can answer your own question with out looking at the parts? Or knowing what they look like or what bike they came from...

A 35 cent piece is bigger than a quarter and smaller than a 50 cent piece.

Is it just me? Responses like that don't motivate me to help. A photo would be helpful. Of the top of my head, I can think of about 6 completely different looking snap rings. Are you talking about the external shift linkage, or the internal one? Forwards? Aftermarket? Mids? And what are we supposed to make of "[h]ad parts in back of a car and not sure it came off bike"?
