Default new speedometer issues on 2006 street bob

hey guys! so my speedometer glass broke one day when a 2x4 landed on the glass and shattered it. it still operated, however before the new speedometer came in I got caught in some rain and it stopped working. the red key light would be on but other than that the bike operated totally fine. I tried to go ahead and copy the odometer information based on the instructions provided with the Harley speedometer/tachometer kit. when its plugged in to the datalink connector and I follow the instructions, nothing comes up on the new gauge like it says it should. I plug it into the gauge plug and it says no cal then says vin er. any thoughts on what I should do to get this copy process down?

Sounds like you will have to get the motor company to fix it. You just may have to get your title marked as milage unknown since it is a Federal law to replace odometer without proper proof of milage. If it is broke, not sure how it would be possible.

Do you still have the stock ECM installed? I had the same issue, turns out the Thundermax ECM doesn't doesn't work for calibrating a new speedometer. I had to temporarily re-install the stock ECM to get the odometer right.
