Primary chain hitting case under compensator?
Hi everyone! pretty knew to this forum thing so go easy pls. I am having trouble with my 2014 fxdb. Primary chain seems to be hitting inside of case just under compensator. No knocking at cold start up but after a ride and warmed up I can here it knock intermittently. I have had the cover and compensator off and everything seems fine besides the mark on the inside of case. Any suggestions would be great? chain seems in good condition. Thinking about swapping the tensioner to the Hayden?
.
Does it look like this mark below, or is it a lot worse than this??

it's about where the blue mark is on the pic but more on the actual primary cover. Not near as much damage as pic
.
If the scuffing on yours is less than what is shown by the red arrow, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
But, you are probably wise to swap out the tensioner.
The markings To the left of that blue mark on the inner primary are from the 1/16 inch I removed in order to remove the rotor without removing the inner primary.
Below Is from from April 2010 -

I used a high speed grinder with a thin 2" wheel,
and removed about 1/16" from the lip of the inner primary cover
from about 6 oclock to 9 oclock
There are some blue marks in some of the pix farther down.

below, looking at the original rotor,
you see the bolts are gone,
and the lightweight compensator spring is also shown.
