I know this has been done before but I'm looking for some advice. I just changed out the stock duals for a 7" bucket.
From some angles I love it.



But from other angles I think it sticks out a little bit too far.


I searched the forums to see how people may have set them back a little. Mostly just photobucket pics that don't work anymore. Does anyone have any pics of inset mounting blocks that they've used?

 

I used the OEM HD mount from my 2010 FXDC when I changed to the 7".

Same thing I was thinking. Just reverse a headlight extension block.

Hey what bracket did you end up using abd did yhe stock hardware work

 

I ended up going with the original mounting bracket that came on my 2010 FXDC. I am still running that 7" headlight and OEM bracket today.
