Default My $100.00 Headlight Mod

I recently upgraded the headlight on my 2010 FXDC to this 7 inch headlight http://www.bkrider.com/bkrider/skusearch_v3.asp?scriteria=C01050356&parent= using this mounting block http://www.jpcycles.com/product/310-127 for an expense of $101.48 plus shipping. I realize there are more expensive upgrades available but this gave me the most bang for my buck, allowing me to see better and be seen better than with the OEM headlight. I also eliminated the headlight glare on the windshield by getting the headlight out in front of the windshield.

Please check out this post about the outstanding customer service experience I received https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...r-service.html

Feb 1, 2014 update: I changed the mounting block from the 3" extended Arlen Ness to the OEM Dyna H/L mount positioning the offset towards the forks. I like this much better as the H/L isn't sticking so far out in front. See latest images towards end of post. I'll leave the original post images in case anybody wants to see what that looked like.

That is one big damn light! I like it, haha. I've still got the stock unit right now, but this may be in my future, just not sure how it would look on my Wide Glide. I definitely want to get an HID kit though. I don't do much riding at night, but I remember from my previous vehicle how freakin' bright HID's are and would love the increased visibility from it with my bike. I think it was around $70 from a site someone posted on here a while back. DDM Tuning, I believe?

Looks good. I went with the Fatboy low headlight. I wanted the black bucket.

Genuine Fatboy headlight and mounting block,I paid 60 bucks used for it and love the look of the bigger headlight.

i did this mod in the spring and then bought a used HD lens for it, much cleaner and brighter with the reflector than the cut glass lens

I've always wanted to put a 7 in headlight on my SB, but I wasn't sure it would mount up and have enough room to adjust.
