2001 FXDX/FXDXT Front End/Suspension Question
Hoping somebody on this forum has experience with the early Dyna FXDX/FXDXT front end suspension systems & can help me out here. I'm about to purchase a 39mm dual disc front end from an FXDX with the adjustable forks for my 2001 Dyna.
I know they have a wide range of adjustability, if anybody is able to tell me the most ideal set up for my weight it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm usually around 140-150lbs & RARELY ride 2 up or with any additional weight, so cartridge kits & most suspension systems are always way too stiff for me. I'm also thinking about changing the springs inside the FXDX forks if needed (we'll see how they feel once I get them) & was hoping somebody who's done this might have suggestions on what companies make the best springs for this application & if there's anything else I should do to upgrade the suspension up front.
If anybody knows the spring rate of the stock springs inside a 2001 FXDX that would also be a great help. Any other advice or help getting this done would be greatly appreciated!
