Ok i just bought this seat person i bought it from said it was the Tallboy seat. I had a sundowner seat and to me this isnt much or any different how do i tell if its actually the tallboy seat. Theres numbers on the bottom but i think they are just generic to all harley seats.

 

Put it on the bike then get a ruler and take a few measurements?

 

Thats what i would do to compare to Sundowner but i no longer have it and i dont know what the measurements of the Tallboy are .

If it is it doesnt give anymore room than the Mustang vintage i have on there now .

 

I had a Dyna Tallboy seat since 2015 (gone now since I got the Mustang Wide Touring) I do think there should be part number on the pan.

Here it is on my old Dyna. It was lovingly called the “dead bear” by some members here, back then... Horrible looking seat. But very comfortable. The mustang gives a better seating position though, and way better looks, for 90% of the comfort

 

There are numbers on the bottom of it . I looked everyone of them up and they came up to more than one Harley seat. Im pretty sure its the tallboy seat I just thought it would give more leg room than it did .

 

Also i measured the distance between the front of the seat to the rear on the riders portion . The Mustsng Vintage i have on there now actuall sits back almost 2" further . Definitely more more cramped on the Tallboy than the Mustang .

 

I put it on the bike 1st impression is it sits alot higher kinda like that since im tall. Going to give it a test see if i like it.
