When your stator goes out does all the power in the bike go out? I was riding home the other night and the bike just died the speedometer is stuck at the speed I was going when it died. I put a brand new battery in it and nothing no lights no nothing.
I would really appreciate any help I don't no where to start.

Sounds like you need to check some fuses. I had a bad stator on a polaris and it just didnt put out. The lights pulsed due to undercharging. It should still start with a new fully charged battery.
Ok i just reread no lights. Im not super familiar with the dynas, ive had a few touring bikes and an fxr. Check for a main fuse and make sure it meters. Beyond that im out of ideas.
My advice to you is to diagnose the problem first before blindly replacing parts. In your case, you spent money on a battery that didn't fix the problem.
Check the battery cables. Are they tight at the battery and at the terminals, including the ground. Another thing to check would be your ignition switch. It may need cleaning or replacing. Test the voltages at the ignition switch.

I did buy a Battery because it was a lot cheaper then the Tow and on the side of the freeway that was about all the diagnosing I could do.
can any body tell me why there is no power at the key switch? I pulled the key switch out and checked it for continuity and it is functioning
properly, but there is no power going to it. the Maxi fuse has power so does the fuse box. I don't know if it could be the voltage regulator
or stator or rotor?

The voltage regulator, rotor, and stator only make electricity. Like the alternator in your car.
It doesn't have to be working properly for the motor to run.
A fully charged battery will start and run a Harley for quite a while.
You have something that's causing a disconnect in the wiring from the battery to the switch.could be a fuse, bad connection or broken wire.
Get a cheap test light and probe the wires between the battery and your switch, somewhere in there is your problem.

I would also check for voltage from the maxi fuse to the switch, a visual inspection will tell if the fuse is in one piece, a continuity test from the maxi to the ignition switch. I would be looking at the large ground cable from battery to frame. I found some corrosion inside the insulation on my ground cable at the frame last season while changing my battery.
