Nice move, nice ride, love those pipes.
Me too, 40 years on metrics and now my first HD.
I couldn’t be happier with the change unless
HD gave free service checks and less of them.

The bike looks good., Nice choice picking a dyna. the pipes look loud. Bet they are tough on bottom end.
Hope you enjoy it.

ORIGINAL: cardboard

So I didn't catch if you like it or not ? ...the pipes look loud.
Still in the process of "making it mine". The troublemakers came to me with no baffles. REALLY LOUD. Too Loud. **** off every one of your neighbors loud. Major decel popping as well. I've put in the stock baffles and it toned it down a notch and cut back on the popping and if anything, improved the power band. Much better. i've also ordered the hooker "quiet" baffles, though I hear they are anything but quiet and still have a very healthy sound. Maybe quiet compared to ear splitting open headers is just right for me!

Still tuning the handling a bit. Rear shocks where set full-soft and bottoming out on everything. Turned them up to stiff, but dissapointed that there are no damping compression/rebound adjustments. I'm looking at perhaps going with progressive shocks? Not used to shocks without any real adjustability...

LOVE the look. Just replaced the tank console cover with a chrome piece today (was crinkle black) and looks like it should have been there all along.

So in summary, I HATED the open pipes, LIKED the ride though I still think it needs some tweaking, and LOVE the look. Working towards LOVE it, LOVE it, LOVE it, but what would be the fun if I didn't have to do a few things to make it perfect ;-) ?

Perhaps a few more pictures tomorrow in better light with the new chrome console cover.

Talked to a dude that took his pipes off to try the trouble makers . He was stating theywere tooo loud too.The didn't help his low end torque. He wound up putting his old pipes back on because of the problems of the torque range and the noise.
He was saying they was so loud he was getting a headache if he rode it long.
