Has anyone installed the Lindby Multibar on their Dyna? I have an 05' FXDL with the HD adjustable highway pegs but am thinking about replacing them a installing a highway bar. I've never been a fan of highway bars (nor windshields) on a Dyna but a friend of mine dropped his RK and the highway bars kept it from damaging the engine cases and tank.
I have no real experience, but I just bought one off Ebay and will be putting it on this weekend. I'm a newbie and really don't want to drop the bike and this is just a bit of insurance, just in case.
I think this is a good engine guard. I had one on my 95 Sportster and it saved me from major damage 2 times. A guy I know bought his wife a Sportster and without the guard and caused $300 of damage each time she let it fall over. I added the Lindby guard on my 06 FXDI and found the added benefit when I put my feet up I get less buffeting on the highway.
I don't have the multi-bar, I have the linbar on my 06 wideglide. Here's a pic. The problem I have with it is that the brake pedal is too close to the bar and my size 13 boot won't fit on the peg comfortably because of it. My boot sits cocked to the side a bit with my toes resting on the highway bar. I agree that when you put your boots on the o-ringed foot rest that wind buffeting is greatly reduced, but with long legs I use the adjustable highway pegs way more than the o-rings.

Thanks for the pic--your bike looks great!! I have a small foot (size 7.5) so I don't think I will have your problem. I now have the HD adjustable front pegs on my LowRider and will have to scrap those (although they will be easy to sell on eBay). I really like the way you installed the extra set of highway pegs. Again, thanks--helps alot.
Also, one forum member suggested gettingthe Multibaron eBay. However, one of the forum's sponsors (Eastern Performance) sells them for the same price ($229.95) with free shipping. I bought my Progressive shocks from them and was well satisfied with their price and service.
