I'm probably gonna catch some flack for saying this but I would keep it just the way it is. It is a fine looking bike just as is but more importantly it was a gift. Pay honor to your grandpa and keep it the way he set it up. Ride the bike and enjoy it with a huge smile on your face while you think of him. He won't always be here and that bike will be his memory for you to keep. Wait until you buy a bike with your own money before you modify it to suit yourself. I do believe in time this bike will come to mean so much more to you if you just keep it as is .Again though it needs to be said that it is a great looking bike! Ride it safely and ride it often! And always remember your grandpa while you smile...this is one old man's opinion of course.
