If you use the search function, or google "fatbob mid controls hdforum" there should be alot of threads about it already. May need new primary covers also.

I bought some Kuryakan peg extensions and ground off the bumpers.

Flipped sides, and rattle canned them black, I think they are an inch and a half, brought my feet closer.

I had to get the reduced reach kit for the forward controls on my FB, and they helped a great deal, but on long rides got uncomfortable after a while with only one position for your legs. I also have Rinehart Crossbacks and the leg position brought my right calf close enough to the pipe to be uncomfortably hot. I tried installing mid mount pegs while keeping the forward controls and that was better, but they tended to get in the way with your feet down. I finally got a set of boards from a Switchback and that made all the difference in the world. Lots of room to change foot position, so much more comfortable and kept my leg away from the exhaust.

I have the ciro ASR floorboards, made things alot more comfortable on its own. Been contemplating the reduced reach conversion for awhile, and also considering just mounting mids as reverse highway pegs.

Almost seemed like having your feet at a flatter angle is really what made the difference, kury pegs with the fold out heel stirrups worked good too, just not as solid as the boards.
