Default Dyna wide glide to bagger

I have a 2010 Dyna Wide Glide and I’m wanting to turn it into a bagger. I was just wondering would a stretched rear fender for a street glide fit it or what other options are there. Also I’m already looking at a 2-1 90 turn out pipe for it as well as some stretched saddle bags. Im also looking at the batwing but if the street glide parts would fit I would look into those so I was just curious if anyone knew if they would fit onto the bike without a lot of modifications

[QUOTE=Part Timer;20500776]Just go buy yourself a used bagger[/QUOTE

I thought about it but I’m still paying on this bike and I’d rather make this one custom to how I like it instead of dumping more money into another bike and learn a whole new bike over again. I know this bike and I’d rather make it my own then be like everyone else and I like the front rake on the wide glide compared to the baggers

Anything will fit given enough money, time, and determination. Will everything bolt right up from a street glide to your WG? absolutely not. Will it look like garbage when you are done? probably (unless you drop $5k-7k into custom fab bodywork and paint - the bolt on batwings for Dyna's just don't look right, IMHO). This is why the other comment suggested you just buy a used bagger. Rather than focus on buying parts from a street glide, why don't you look into parts from a Dyna Switchback?

Memphis shades makes a batwing for your WG and I believe it fits proportionally to your bike.

Stretched bags I'm not sure, but if you have $$$ anything can be made to fit.

Are you on the 12 year plan on paying off the bike???

Trade it in for a Dyna Switchback. Since you can expect to put out a lot of cash to do the mods that you want, just roll the loan over to one of those. At least you'll solve the bag thing right away.

What are you looking to do. I have done over 1000 mile weeks on my WG with no issue. Add a windshield, bags and a better seat and cruz.

I’m looking to add a front fairing and hard bags that can lock as well as some sort of radio system

Front fairing there are kits for that like posted above.. Locking bags are simple and there are many suppliers including HD. For radio well there are BT speakers you can add or if you wear a FF helmet add speakers in that. But if you want to make a bagger why not just buy a bagger?

My bags are lockable and are quick detach just like my windshield. Shield is only on when I have long rides since I think it looks like crap with it on, but is servers a purpose.

Speakers I wear FF so I just have them in my helmet and BT to my phone so I can also hear my Navigation.

I do not think any of you get the point, Jclark wants to customize "his" bike. I like the idea of a "mini bagger" middle weight. Unfortunately, nothing(?) from the big bikes will bolt on to your WG, and look good. Good news is...Where there is a will, there is a way. You can make "anything" fit, and how you think it looks is all that matters.
I prefer the " minimalist" look on my 2011 WG, but I have been working on detachables. I have a quick connect: HD windshield, handlebar power supply, handle bar Garmin & cell phone mounts, an import leather tool pouch, removable Saddlemen fender bag, and am trying to invent a way to mount hard leather imported saddle bags.
During my shopping, I seem to recall finding hard, stretched bags for the Dyna's. Some off brand kit I stumbled across on Amazon. I passed on it because it was not detachable and would have required relocating my plate & lights. Look at "Southern California Cholo style" custom Dyna's & parts, you may find the fender you are looking for.
Jclark, Go for it! Good Luck. Show us your progress.
