Aftermarket Fenders for '06 FXDBI
Need some help folks,
As you can see from my sig pic, I live on a farm and spend quite a bit of time on limestone gravel roads. The original front fender is inadequate at best when it comes to rain, mud and the occasional loose rock. I recently upgraded to a 110/90/19 Metzeler and the fender is now completely useless.
I've been searching for some time now for a "full coverage" front fender; something that covers then entire width of the tire and is fairlylong. Plenty of choices if you have an FLH or a pre-'06 FX. The problem I run into is most descriptions state in the first sentence "fits all models except the '06 - '07. Not much out there for a bike with 49mm forks and a 19" wheel in my searches...please prove me wrong!
I don't have an issue with drilling a fender or utilizing spacers, just want to see some examples and product numbers from those of you who have gone this route. From an aesthetics perspective, I'm confident the fender will look fine on my ride; I have strut mounted bags now (need to update my sig one of these days). and it would help to balance out the look of the rear end.
Attached a couple examples -
