Default Front Fender search...

Hello, my name is Jon and I am new to this forum. I appreciate that it exists and the wealth of experience, education and insight that it affords. While here, I hope to make some new friends along the way.

My situation: I am wanting to modify my '95 Fatboy w/a skin swap, Bob it. I have a fix on what I want for rear fender and larger tank but CANNOT find the front fender of choice. My limited mechanical knowledge puts me at a disadvantage I am sure, but that is why I am posting here. I believe that my forks are 39mm, which is the same for a few others, and the wheel is 16" standard. The fender I am looking for seems to be about like what I see on a Fat Bob, but I have found no references to confirm or deny that the match is possible (maybe with some conversion brackets, idk). Either way, the pictures below show the type of front fender desired, but no one seems to offer that (jp, heartland, etc). Maybe someone can help and school me in the process about what may fit? *Each picture I find of bikes with this small front fender seem pretty universal, so I don't think that they are being cut, it would appear that they are mounted as they come.

Any and all help or insight is appreciated, Thanks in Advance!

i too have looked far and wide for small front fenders. Vulcan works and PJ glassfibre both sell small fenders for the FL Softail. I bought both and liked the one from PJ Gassfibre the best. Below is a pic of PJ fender on my bike, not yet painted. Cannot seem to find a pic on my phone of the Vulcan works fender.

you can probably cut your stock fender to that shape if you're so inclined

Yes I could, but it seems there is a good fender already out there, that is what is killing me and what makes me think it is from another HD model since all of those I have seen seem to be relatively the same, yet I can't find them no matter how I search.

FLS103, I have a Vulcan company fender in my sights, the other one (yours) looks like one I have seen from JP Cycles (I think). I do think it looks great on your bike. I appreciate the pic, it helps me to see it.

This is the one from Vulcan, and I think it will work (as would the one FSL103 has), but it not the ones on the bikes pictured

An old member (GRMARIO) had a fender on his Slim that looked a lot like the fenders you have pictured, never was able to find the maker of that fender. I was thinking of cutting down my stock Slim fender but it would have required cutting into the inner brace to get the shape I wanted on the sides. If I removed the inner brace it would leave the rivet holes and I was told it would warp the fender. I run fenderless with a fork brace in the summer so I just got the cheap fiberglass fender to run during the wet seasons.

Did you mount it on your bike at any point? If so, did it look good? Fit right?
