RE: any fxdx's out there
Look at my signature. Have no new pic's. of recent mods.21" lacedfront wheel, lay down license plate bracket, no more bulletrear turn signals. Replaced them with flush mountedLED fender strut ones and LED flush mount tail light.
If I can get my camera to work again I will post.

My father in law has a FXDX(bone stock) that I never really cared for. But Sharkey's bike is Hot. I likes.

I think the FXDX was one of the more difficult bikes to sell in the entire HD lineup - even though it was one of the best handling HD big twins ever produced. The look did not appeal to the HD crowd - who largely cares less about handling performance and more about curb appeal (not being critical here - just stating fact).
So - what did Harley do??? First off - they redesigned the chasis for all dyna models - happens every so often anyway. Then they took the performance suspension parts off the FXDX and replaced them with $10 shocks. They moved the speedo to the tank, new bars, took one of the brake discs off, gave the thing a new name with a new paint scheme. Saved them a bunch of money. What was the new model called - "Street Bob". No escaping your roots
Brilliant marketing by HD - most people hated the FXDX - HD reduced the cost of a model they couldn't sell, made it look different - and charged the same amount of $.

Gee; thanks guys. Peer recognition means more than any of the sidewalk commandos.....
The rear shocks are 12.5" 418 Progressives; I also dropped the tubes in the trees about 3/4"; allows me to sit flat footed at the lights and makes it safer and easier pushing the bike backwards out of an angle parking stall. Took me nearly a season to sort out the front forks; sure a lot of adjustment available. Here's a pic of the bike in two-up tour mode and on one of my favorite roads.
