Default Front blinker removal questions.....

I have an 07 SB with security, ive removed the front blinkers (at the very least from the bars) but hate the way they look on the forks also. My intention is to run without them at all and just throw them on for inspection, so without them will it affect my security system and will i need (if i can) to install anything like a load equalizer to keep the rears operating properly? Also, do any of the Dyna's run hand controls that dont route the blinker cable through the control lower housing? If so like to replace lowers to get rid of the hole where the blink's were?

You may or may not need a load equilizer. Disconnect the signals, and then try them. They will probably blink 4 times regularly, then start rapid blinking. This would indicate that the turn signal module detects the open circuit left from the void of the front turn signals. A smart equilizer will help keep this from happening. You will also get a fault code for the turn signals.

however, if you don't much care about rapid blinking or fault codes, then just leave them off.

Another idea is to use the LED rings from Custom dynamics to replace the turn signals. Very nice, clean and Pricey. Link Herebut you'll probably end up needing a smart equilizer for them too.

Best of luck, RJ

I am running without front blinkers at the moment and there are no issues. The rears work as they should, and the fault light does not stay on.

Iam riding an 06' Superglide and have removed my front turn signals. have the rapid blinking rears and i have an error code for my security system. the red security alarm light comes on as soon as I use the signal. rapid blinker doesn't really bother me, and I am planning on instal of a custom face for my speedometer, so I am not too concerned. would be nice to fix the problem right, so if you get any info, could you please share? thanks!

Ventura, the idea of mounting under the lower tree is slick.
Gives me a couple of ideas I might try out.
