i have forwards the mids I never did like.i can ride with forwards 6 to 700 miles a day no need for mid pegs

 

Ok with the HD set it comes with a plug and then you bolt the thru shifter in place. So why do all the dealers say its a remove the inner and outter primary to put them on .

And Kuryakan i was told you don't have to remove the primary?

I need some info as i will be doing the project before spring which is the best set to buy and why? What is the best way to do it?

Shoot me links from in here or lets here some opinions.

would anybody have mid mounts/pegs that would fit a 00 wideglide to sell? pleez pm me.

 

I'm putting mine on in the spring. I found out it's nice to have an option on long rides.

 

I can't stand forward controls. My back hurts after like 30 miles. But ofcoarse not everyone fell out of airplanes for a living for 12 years.

 

Thanks everyone - looks like keeping them works (I have not installed a set of forward controls on a Dyna and did not know about clearances etc).

More people do it than I thought would - I appreciate the input.

 

Hello I have both and had no problems, clearance was close but no problems and it works. I leave midpegs up when not in use so ankles don't get caught with the stop and go. Is good to have both for long rides to switch back and forth so legs don't cramp up. 06 FXDBI

I left mine on until I switched to floor boards. I had also cut about one inch off the mid foot pegs. That still give me a good place to rest my foot and then I did not catch my leg as bad when stoping when my feet were on the forwards.
