Default Any FatBobs with forward controls AND a mid mounted peg?

Pretty much as the name of the post implies. Been thinking about adding a small peg just "because"...I'm curious to see if anyone has added the mid peg just for another foot placement option... Post up pics of your setup and what parts are needed? Thanks!

I put forwards on mine and kept the mids for different foot placement. That lasted all of two rides. After having my feet forward, the mids felt way to cramped (which is why I changed them out to begin with). I understand having a varied riding position for long rides, but I honestly couldn't see needing them often enough to justify having them there all the time. It would be simple enough to try as long as they clear your pipe.
I fell in love with the bike at the dealer with forwards, but got an awesome deal on it with mids. Won't go back, but will keep the parts for the next owner.

I found a pair of pegs, well the whole mid control set, on the local "used buy and sell". When the dealer changed the guy's Street Bob to the forward controls the square metal washers were missing, (not sure if that is common). Had to order a set otherwise the pegs would not stay up out of the way.
I used these for long rides. It is very nice to have some place else to place your feet. Definatly worth it. The only problem is you forget they are down and when driving to a stop your legs hit the pegs. Still worth it for me other wise I cramp up.
Ill post some pics a little later. No one notices unless i point them out.

i dont have a fatbob but i do have forward controls and mid pegs.

i originally went to forwards because i did a 400 mile trip (this was 5 yrs ago) and was dying because i didnt have anywhere else to put my feet. so i added forwards only and always felt like my legs were being torn off the fwd pegs on the hwy. so then i added mid pegs. now when im not shifting or braking im always on my mid pegs.

im currently going back to mids and adding hwy pegs to see how this works out.

My fat bob has forward controls and I had installed some mid pegs to use. Tried it out for a few days and it just annoyed the hell out of me. The position was not comfortable at all, and every time I put my legs down they'd get in the way (as I wasn't used to them being there).

They are just too far back and high up IMO.

Default both for me

I have both but use the forwards all the time now. I keep the mids on and folded up so they don't get in the way....which is totally possible after you get used to forwards.

I like the look of the folded up mids...design wise it breaks up that big clunker *** ugly looking primary cover.

No FB, but I added mids to my '06 Wide. After a long (4400-mi.) roadtrip in '08, I wanted some optional foot placement, and picked up a set of mid brackets from a member here. Added matching pegs. Haven't used them much since I added them, but once in a while. They aren't in the way at all when folded up.

Hi there. I have the same problem on long trips. I want to change the position of my legs, especially when riding on a highway at high speed.

I have a particular query. Is it possible to mount standard Dyna mid controls mounts /pegs only/ if I installed Vance and Hines Big Shots Staggerd?

Somebody did it?

Apparently it is possible.
This photo is not Fat Bob, but I think that these parts are identical in all Dyna?

Not a Fat Bob here, But I do have forwards on my Street Bob with modified mid mounts. I chopped the bulk of the pegs off and drilled and tapped the remaining part of the peg to receive the shift lever peg. I did this because I could leave the pegs down for leg movement and so I could have somewhere to stand when I see that unavoidable road hazard coming (everyone with apes knows what I am saying). The reason why I modified the peg making it shorter is because I keep hitting the peg when i came to a stop and put my feet on the ground. There is just enough peg there for me to hang my boot off of and when I am traveling I find my self with one foot on a mid ond the other on a forward more often then not.

Here are some pics of my setup.
