Default need to rebuild engine when?

Hi

I am just about to write the check for Dyna 88" year 2000 low rider
with 150.000 Km (93.000 miles) on the taco

one owner, clean bike and going to rebuild the bike.

Has this engine reached its end of life seen in the light of I want to install a big bore kit and aim at over 100Bhp at the rear wheel?

is there a speicial year I should aim at instead?

I am just coming from my 2006 NightRod and want to do a fun project now, so i need a little advise

thanks guys

rod, 93,000?? I say go ahead and rebuild.

BigBore kit??? Consider a HeadQuarters package. One of the best available.

The 124 runs $8,500-$10,000 depending on finish.

Hello just depends on how the bikes been looked after. Some on here seem to have over 200k.With no problems.1600 on
mine so a long way to go yet.
My car has 171000 and not very well looked after. And still runs like new.And don't use a drop of oil.
So unless you no the owner. And how he's ridden it eg long trips or lots of short stop start trips. Service history you can't really say until you strip it down.
Good luck if you do buy it.

quite scary this...

Bike has mostly run short tirps never cold engine start since we always have 25-33celcius here.

according to dealer who has services the bike, its well taken care off, got new rocker arms at about 90000km
Im not buying from dealer, direct from owner.

One thing is the engine, then you have gearbox, steering crown, swing arm bearings etc.

The more I think about the less keen I am.
