Vance & Hines Big Radius with Thunder Monster baffles. A buddy of mine has them on his softail. If you want loud that is the way to go. I refuse to ride next to him or behind him. It is Ear splitting loud. Sounds fricking mean too!

I put a set of cobra speedster slash cut on my 2007 FXDSE. To me, and it is just my option these are the best sounding pipes on the market for the length of the pipes, some of the shorter pipes seem to be louder, but mine has a much better rumble.

If your state inspection invloves decible testing , you may want to reconsider the shorter pipes ( especially the V+H ) Check out the Thunder Headers , they have good sound and absolutely the best performance for aftermarket pipes and they pass the decible test (Barely!!!) they also happen to be pretty reasonable , should retail for around $550 for full system. I had straight pipes but here ( Laconia , By the way ...the rest of the year other than bike week they are not so nice to "bilers") we have "random" decible ( meaning...just Harleys ) testing with road blocks.. The fine is $72.50 each offense ( ask me how I know that ) anyway , I am glad to be rid of those pipes and glad to have my power back as a bonus. I know alot of people with the thunderheaders , and they are all pleased .........

just my hmo....

I recently put on V & H short shots staggered, SE Stage I AC and a race tuner from the dealer. Sounds Great! I love the sound loud and a deep rumble to it. I wasnt sure at first what I was going to do but it was well worth the money I spent LOVE IT!
