Default gauge lighting

can the gauge lighting be changed or do you have to replace the entire speedo and tach? My gauges are yellow at night and Iwould like to change the night lighting to green.

Never heard of anyone changing the stock gauge lights. Aftermarket obviously has different colors, but one would think that it could be opened and changed out.
I know this is different but on my Suzuki sport bike I sent my guage assembly to a company and I had blue led's put in. What a difference.
Maybe someone has or cna point us to getting this accomplished.

Bluegauges.com They can change the gauge color to blue, green, yellow, red or white. I had them change my V-Rod gauges to blue with a white face, very happy with the results.

According to the service manual you can change the bulb. If you could find a different color bulb I guess you could do it. Dunno what it would look like or if you could find a bulb in a different color.

Changed mine many years ago cause I hated the stock ones. I went to Wal Mart and bought some colored bulbs (red) and popped them in. Much easier on the eyes at night. I'm not sure if the bulb spec havechanged since then but you should be able to find a replacement.

Were the bulbs for your tach, speedo, and fuel gauge on your '92 the same type?
