I think you have the right idea. Rent and try the models out. I think you will end up with a Dyna model. My Dyna fits me like a glove, and I can not say enough good things about the 2006 design improvements. Its like having all my bike prayers answered. Good Luck and happy riding.

 

Don't foget to check out the 1200 Custom Sportster (Dyna-Lite). I love mine and it's a great bike for riding around town.
