Default Difference in shocks

Hey All,
Looking to put on some SB shocks on my SG. I seen the size differenceis only about a half inch in length. Was just curious if this makes a big enough difference for most, or do you go a different route? I am 6' so only looking at lowering about an inch, and I know alot has to do with preferrence, was just looking for some insight. Also dropping it an inch going to require a new Jiffy? Thanks

I dropped the rear of my 06 Wide Glide 1" with Progressive 812 shocks. The jiffy stand and my Sears yellow lift both still work fine.

I'm 6'4". Dropped mine .6" with progressive 412 12" heavy duties. The bike could have easily withstood a full 1" drop but I don't think I would have wanted to go any lower than I did. I already stand higher above the seat on my bike than I do over my son's CRF-80F.
