bought vance and hines slip on for my 2008 dyna superglide custom. Do I have to use a stage one kit and fuel pak to?
The quick answer is no. You don't need to do anything beyond what you've already done. I've got V&H slipons on my 2008 Bob and I elected to install the "quiet baffles" which mostly cuts the harsh sound and leaves you with a nice rumble. They also give you more back pressure for a bit better midrange torque and less decel popping. If you end up changing the a/c then you should use a fuel pak, sert, PCIII etc. There is also a lot of discussion going on right now about the XiED from Nightrider.com. These change the fuel/air mixture so that the engine doesn't run quite so hot. Several members are in the process of evaluating them. This may be my next mod.
