I've got the same issue.&nbsp\\; Can't even use the high beam at night.&nbsp\\; Way to much reflection coming back at me.&nbsp\\; Putting the shield all the way to the top of the trees does away with it, but I get a lot more wind "pulsing" when it's up that high.&nbsp\\; I thought it was supposed to rest against the bottom of the trees.

I just took delivery on a 2008 FXDC and have the exact same problem! The glare is unbelievable when the high beams are on and it is unsafe!. The dealer told me when he delivered it that I better order some trim rings, but the whole concept of the adjustable height windshield is to be able to adjust it to the height which allows the least buffeting for the rider and doesn't obstruct vision. As a retired senior sales and marketing executive I think some companies executives should get off their lazy a** es and actually test out some of these products they sell for over $800! They are giving "suits" a bad name . I love my FXDC but the accessories are not up to snuff.

I too went the visor to the headlight route. It worked like a champ and looks good too.

 

I've got the Trim rings as well.........and it eliminated the problem. It's listed as the Visor Style headlight trim ring part number 69735-05 and it cost $33.95.&nbsp\\; I also purchased&nbsp\\;a set of the&nbsp\\;" Turn Signal Bullett style visor kits for the front and rear signals....to give it a matched look. Those sell for $32.95 each. part number 69760-05 for the front and 69761-05 for the rear signals.

 

I to have the visor. I also bought a headlight extension that&nbsp\\;I haven't installed yet. It cost about $25, and if it works, it will&nbsp\\;be alot cheaper than replacing the entire headlight assembly.

 

I have an 08 FXDL and I'm not having that problem. I have the essentials kit too.&nbsp\\;My windshield sits about a 1/2 above my headlight and there is maybe 3/4" gap between the HL and the WS. I haven't noticed the glare at all.
