The light in the pic below is 5 3/4 by 9 inches. The HD quick detachable fits fine on my WG. Check out Eastern Performance's selection of headlights. I bought this one for under $100. $300 for the HD light seems a bit expensive for a headlight. Here's the link. I think that on some bikes the HD windshield looks better if the headlight does stick out from the front of the shield a few inches.
That's the light I want. A few questions:
[ol][*]How's the performance?[*]Is the beam concentrated as well as the stocker?[*]How does it connect to the original harness?[*]Will it hold the Sylvania bulb so many here praise?[*]Did you need the adapter to mount it to the clamp?[/ol]
Thanks!
sorry i'm at work so can't add picture.
I just installed the 5 3/4 hd light & i have the removable hd windshield.Fit with no problems. I'll try to get a picture out tomorrow so you can see it. Good luck stay safe

Ok, here goes-
1 & 2. I feel like I have a larger field of light with this headlight.
3. It does not connect to the harness. There are 3 wires. My WG had 2 going to the stock light. I just clipped the ground. It grounds to the triple tree.
4. I don't know anything about the Sylvania bulb. I'm using the one that it came with.
5. I didn't have the adapter at first but the rear part of the headlight housing was buried in the triple tree. I added the adapter and it pushes out far enough to view the entire headlight housing.
BTW Eastern Performance is great as far as customer service. I asked questions about the grounding wire and the clamp. They were a big help.
