You have to pay import duty on them You'll also need the HD dowload. MIne cost £800 when I bought the bike - same set up.

Even with import duty you would still make quite a saving. You should be able to do it all yourself - you would need the appropriate eliminators for the exhaust valves and air intake motor. Installing the pipes with the O2 sensors and fuel pack should be easy enough as the FPs come with standard downloads off the web sites. If you are a competent wrench go for it and screw Brown!

That's what I did - actually turned out to my advantage as the V&H fuel pack was not that great and my dealer provided me with an exchange Kitech fueler FOC. The pipes are loud, but it depends on how you ride. Touch wood - not any attention from the boys in blue, but then I am sensible in towny areas and when they are around.

Come to think of it I have loud SE II slip ons I took off which are in as new condition with around 2K dry miles on them that you could buy off me and save yourself a bunch of money as you wouldn't need to do the stage 1 and fuel pack conversion if you just change the stock slip on for these. Then you see how you like the louder pipes - just a thought!

whats thhe difference between the slip ons to what is fitted as standard.....

i prefer the cleaner look of the short shots.... not really lovin the tommy gun look, so a complete replacement is the way forward.....

my fireblade seems like a toy after riding my harley... think i have been converted!!!!

Much louder pipes and more of a Harleyisk sound without the need to do a costly Stage 1 conversion. They look entirely different and are simply a plug and play option for around £150. My Screaming Eagle Slash Cuts look very different to the stock pipes. Of course you should do whatever floats your boat.

Would be advised to get the Harley download if you swap to the slips-ons as you'll run even leaner and hotter than the standard set-up, there by risking engine damage. The short shots staggered and VERY loud - I'm a great believer than loud pipes make other road user more aware of you but even I'm a bit edgy riding past old bill. If you don't labour or over rev I think you'll be ok. I'm planning on some European touring next year so I'm not sure about getting the optional baffles!
