Hey Red Devil,
Did mine with the 103" kit, with ported & polished heads, but used SE257 cams instead of the 255's it came with and higher comp. pistons
Couldn't be happier, and my bagger friends couldn't be sadder!

LOVE the bike!!! Might be that mine is the same model/color . Did you consider going with the black jugs? I am considering a 103 and was toying with the idea.

Can't wait to see the dyno numbers Red! If the bike runs as good as it looks you'll be one happy biker!

for the TC 88:
103'' = 4 1/2 Stroke x 3 13/16 Bore
113'' = 4 1/2 stroke 4'' bore
116'' = 4 5/8 stroke 4 '' bore
I got this info from my V twin book, those all look like good combination.
now what would a 4 1/2 X 4 1/2 make? I'm thinking that's what the top fuel guys are running?

Thanks everybody, I worked alot of OT to get it this far. I also have a custom RWD (rambler) front fender being painted and some custom brackets being chromed. Yes the heads/cylinders were diamond cut and they are awesome in person. Did the show cut which they do behind the pushrods and around the sparkplugs. They also do the base of each cylinder. As for the build I stuck with screaming eagle 110" pro heads,103" cylinders,forged high comp pistons,perfect fit pushrods,255 cams,50mm tb. My dealer is covering this under my warranty which ends 2010. The cams might be swapped out for either woods or andrews down the line if the 255's dont cut it. I'm looking for the best overall rideable performance not just high hp/tq #'s. Should have it back tomorrow afternoon and will post the #'s. Thanks again

I'm curious what type power shaft bearing is in your engine, if its the later type {not a Timkin} and if not did you updated to the stronger Timkin bearing and support?
I've read that the later bearing is prone to failure when stroking and making more power than stock.
does anyone know when HD made this change on the TC 88's?

I am going to my dealship tomorrow and see if they'll do a 103 to my bike under my warranty! (J/K)

After mulling it over briefly, I figure you must mean that they are extending the warranty covering your bike to include repairs to your engine, even though it has extensive modifications.

Man I am so jealous ... your bike rocks!

Just to make sure we are on the same page... your '08 started life as a 96 whereas mine and Red's started life as 88". The 103 kit on yours is equivalent to the 95 kit on ours (just a bore upgrade).

Yeah, we're on the same page. I would never try to "one-up", since mine already came stroked in comparison to yours and Red's "88". It is hardly the accomplishment of his, and certainly has no merit as a custom creation.
I'd post my dyno numbers, but I feel certain that the information would be of no use to anyone thinking of such a project. Since it was already a 96" and "just a bore upgrade".
The work on the heads, compression upgrade, cam upgrade as well as the work done on the TB don't mean much, either. We won't even mention the 6-speed.
I would say that contrary to popular belief, the engine gets "on the cams" much sooner than most would expect, and that it is a very pleasurable bike to ride on the street.
But I'm sure no one cares.
Thanks for commenting on my post, though. I look forward to your opinions in the future.
