Default Winter maint. Projects advice needed

Hello all,

I’m thinking of some new winter projects for my 98’ Dyna Wide Glide I can do myself.

I’m thinking of swapping new neck bearings/races, the motor mounts (never replaced before) and swingarm bearings. Basically I'd like to get the chassis back to like new. I've never done any of these things, but have had front end apart for new sliders bars w/internal wiring etc. last winter and all went ok.

Any advice, special tool recommendations or “don’t do its” out there?

I'd appreciate any opinions from experiences.

thanks

do not do this without a service manual.

how many miles you got?

the lower head bearing is a bitch to remove from the stem so be prepared for that.

I've got a service manual. The bike's pushing 70 thousand miles.
