carb tuning
how easy is it to tune the carb yourself air/fuel screw adjustment do you need any special tools or if you tune your own could you give us any tips thanks

When you say "tune" what are you actually trying to do?
Change jets, shim needle, adjust air/fuel screw, adjust float.
Or are you trying to synch 2 or more together?
In the case of the synch a carb tool is necessary and there are lots of options for this from cheap mercury to expensive.
For doing jets if you know what jets you want/need based on what someone told you buying jets are cheap. A kit is more expensive.
Pulling them out and replacing is simple and no special tools.
On the carbs I have done the air/fuel screw is usually blocked and I had to take a drill bit and remove some metal to get to the screw.

JFM, to remove the plug covering the the air mix screw take small drill and carefully just puncture the plug, take a small screw, screw into that hole and pull out the plug. If you have an open intake (SE intake) raise the needle with two .040 brass washers (don't know how that would work out in metrics) or install an old sporster needle p/n 27094-88, your dealer should have one or able to get one. The adjustments on the screw are from lightly seated (screwed in) to 2.5 turns out, that should put you in the ball park.
