I was told by an indy to use some brake fluid on the faded black. Actually works! Not sure of any long term effects though. Anyone else hear this?

CD2 Engine Detailer works pretty good. I don't have any before and after photos of the bike, but here's a couple of my daughters car below.

I would never use brake fluid on anything painted. That stuff will eat the paint. Got some on my car years ago and the paint soon flaked off in that spot.

I wouldn't trust it personally because I know brake fluid can eat through certain types of rubber and plastic and who knows what else!! Plus it doesn't absorbe or dry like pig spit or s100 which would make me nervous of it flying onto the tires or something. Not that you would put that much on but I like the spray better then blotting it on a towel or somethng. Just my opinion!! Pig Spit you can use on everything black including rubber and make it look like new.

Although not intended for the purpose, Adam's Undercarriage Spray is great for restoring/maintaining black engines.

It holds up well, and I actually like it better than S100 (which is also pretty good).

I use Pig Spit and S100 Engine Brightner. Works good. Stay away from brake fluid.

I use the Turtles Wet´n Black, made for tires, but works on all black surfaces...

PS. Never use tire shine on the Bike tires...we had a death accident resently, guy on a custom bike...used tire shine, gets very slippery.
