Softail floorboard on a Dyna - photos
Took a few photos of my floorboards since I have the front end off. The photos are pretty poor quality, but give you the idea.
I used Cycle Vision's "go forward" 2-inch floorboard extension kit and drilled and countersunk one hole to align with upper forward control mounting hole on my Dyna frame.
I used all Softail floorboard shift components (with heel and toe shifters) and the brake parts (except came up with my own brake lines).
Feel free to post or PM questions. Wish I had gone this route initially when I decided I couldn't use mid controls. The overall cost is only a little higher than the retail price for forward controls ....

Hey buddy, maybe you should have left the pics to the boy.
Just ribbin' ya good job on the write up. I see you have the shift levers in the stock locations. I swapped mine so the heel shifter is on the shaft first and then the toe shifter. Gives a bunch more room for the heel and a more natural foot position.

The same effect could be had using my set-up by simply drilling the hole two inches forward (the back part of the mounting block would simply 'hang' off the rear of the mount) ... since I used the countersunk bolts and countersunk the hole I bored it would fit beneat the Softail mounting bracket ....
It occurs to me, using this logic, you could actually use the 'extensions' in reverse to move the floorboards 2" aft of the Dyna forward mount attachment point and actually move the boards 2" closer to the rider! For the 'vertically challenged' rider who wants floorboards .... (only possible issue would be clearing the primary)
If you search floorboard and ackman1968, you can see where he has posted photos of his set-up ....

Took a couple new photos today while I had the front end off ....
Photo36-37 show pretty clear photos of the Cycle Vision 'go forward' 2" extension that I used to mount the Softail floorboards (brake side anyway ... you can see the shifter side a little in the background) ....
Photo38 shows the inside of the Softail bracket ... everything is already attached ... I just took them off to snap a couple photos but didn't totally disassemble them ... master cylinder, brake pedal and floorboard ....
Photo39 shows how the bracket goes on ... Photo40 is of the attached floorboards from the front looking to the rear ....
