I think that is just a tad high for an 08 but because the 09 is changed, Maby they are aiming toward those that wish they had bought the 08.and if you love that style, there aren't to many left I imagine .That is basically the MSRP plus a few hundred. I paid 200 below MSRP for my 08FXDC

Price went down from '08 - '09. I think nearly $1000, so likely at best, you will pay the same for an '08 as an '09. Personally I would go for an '09.. Which I did... :-).. (Just got the call today, my bike just arrived at the dealer's warehouse!! Wooo hooo!)

When you say "OTD" this usually means it includes sales tax and license. However, sales tax rates vary quite a bit state to state, and some states reduce sale tax by the amount of a trade in (if applicable).
Without knowing how much sales tax is involved it is difficult to evaluate the deal.
